Grocery Channel Manager

Company Description

The Grocery Channel Manager is a key leadership position in our Off Premise sales team and is accountable for Red Bull’s strategy, relationships and commercial performance with our New Zealand grocery partners.

Job Description

STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT

As our New Zealand expert on the grocery landscape, you ensure that we have the right plans with the right partners to deliver growth for Red Bull and our Partners. You define and implement our strategy, commercial arrangements and trade investment across all grocery customers in New Zealand.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

You lead the Key Account Manager and are accountable for providing direction, leadership and development to this position. You will set appropriate priorities and targets, delegate specific responsibilities and enable the KAM to deliver high performance.

CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT

You are accountable for Red Bulls relationships with all Grocery Partners in New Zealand. You are our expert in their plans, people and processes and are accountable for our trading terms, commercial arrangements and promotional programs.

CUSTOMER PLANNING

You will build annual customer plans including compelling promotional programs that achieve Red Bulls objectives while aligning to each customers strategy and capabilities. You will form and implement Joint Business Plans which align Red Bull’s strategic priorities with those of our partners, and support our field team to have strong, valued and productive relationships at store level.

IN-STORE ACTIVATION

You will work closely with our Trade Marketing Manager to create impactful in-store and online activation plans. You will take accountability for ensuring our Field Team have what they need to execute these plans with excellence in store.

Qualifications

  • Outstanding sales experience and track record in FMCG, preferably NZ
  • Minimum 3 years’ Key Account Management experience with strong customer relationship skills
  • Previous people management experience is preferred
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong commercial acumen, including insight generation from multiple data sources
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and capable of working independently
  • Strong team player, proactive contributor to culture
  • Advanced level MS PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Current NZ Full Driver’s Licence
  • Prefer Bachelor’s Degree
