Hauptaufgaben

The incumbent independently plans, design, and carry out programs, projects, and studies. Employee has responsibility to lead and/or participate in operational planning teams composed of DA Civilians and KGS personnel for clearly defined products and outputs. Serves as Logistics Management Specialist with assigned responsibility for planning, coordinating and accomplishing a variety of tasks concerned with methods, systems, subject-matter procedures and controls throughout the Director and providing staff logistic assistance to all key personnel internal and external to the BSC. Support subordinated elements within the organization regarding the application of command policies and procedures pertaining to Logistics management programs. Coordinates and manages Plans and Operations to include all functions such as formulating Operation Order (OPORD), Taskers, Training, exercise support and LSA support. Incumbent exercises technical and logistical skills and knowledge's related to storage facilities, transportation, Supply and Services and Maintenance knowledge in order to assist the BSC Director. Integrates mission requirements into comprehensive logistics support plans or operational support programs. Serves as a Natural Management Team Leader (NMTL), develops, plans to manage strategic and tactical continuous improvement initiates in accordance with the BSC's strategic vision. Conducts logistics data collection, Risk Management Internal Control Program (RMIC), Situational Report (SITREP), Commander's Update Brief (CUB), BSC Weekly Staff Brief, Capabilities Briefs, Exercise Planning, Logistics Readiness Report (LRR), Battle Rhythm, creating and compiling History Reports, etc. Makes independent decisions and maintains full awareness of programs and requirements pertaining to material, facilities, and funding and manpower skill requirements within area of responsibility. Provides supported activity with instructions for the posting and special handling of initial reports and provisioning items. Provides advice and assistance to the Officer in Charge (OIC), Integration Section in reviewing and analyzing Operational Plans (OPLANs), USFK/8th Army (8A) Exercise, Contingency Operations Orders (OPORDs), various Korea specific Combined/Joint level logistics policies and other contingency plans that will impact BSC logistical requirements during the armistice and wartime. Analyzes, prepares, submits and briefs the various products associated with these OPLANs, adjusting products and analysis as required. Plans, coordinates and documents the required actions, including Concept Plans (CONPLANs) to implement the decisions. Plans, develops, reviews, and analyzes the production of required plans, supporting documents and briefing products. Applies knowledge of USFK and ROK military command organization and their logistical objectives, general/joint/combined staff functions, relationships and procedures. Coordinates with the subordinate and higher level US Commands and ROK military counterparts on matters of policy, doctrine, and planning of logistics support operations during the armistice and wartime in Korean Theater. Advises the command on Non-Combatant Evacuation Operation (NEO) and Reception Staging Onward Movement and Integration (RSOI) plans in Korea. Responsible for coordinating and facilitating Key Resolve (KR), Ulchi Freedom Guardian (UFG), Force Protection, NEO and RSOI Rehearsal of Concept (ROC) drills. Validates various Wartime Host Nation Support (WHNS) requirements and coordinate with appropriate level of ROK government agencies. Serves as a primary point of contact for coordinating with ROK military counterparts. Captures and maintains After Action Review (AAR) comments from all USFK/8A level exercise, and proposes recommendation based on the AAR comments. Ensures that training guidelines are followed, and advancements are actively pursued by translating and interpreting policies and regulatory requirements are understood and strictly complied with. Develops, updates, and maintains both peace and war time logistical support plans and supply operations. Attends meeting as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
