Your tasks
As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in SAP, you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of advanced SAP solutions to meet the strategic and operational needs of the organization and leverage your expertise in SAP technologies, including ABAP, SAP HANA, and SAP Fiori, to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
Encompassing the independent realization of complex ABAP transactions, the development of SAP interfaces, and active participation in release upgrades and rollout projects including independent implementation of complex ABAP transactions and reports using SAP NetWeaver ABAP/ABAP OO and SAP HANA
Development of interfaces within the SAP environment and with external systems (RFC, BAPI, IDoc, ALE, Webservices, OData)
Conceptual and operational participation in release changes and upgrade projects for our SAP systems
Coordination and collaboration with external service providers
Form development using Smart Forms and Adobe Forms
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, coordinate with external service providers, and provide both technical and conceptual leadership
Participation in international/national SAP rollout projects
With a strong focus on quality assurance and adherence to best practices, you will contribute to the creation and enhancement of development and documentation standards within the team.
Acquisition/building of process knowledge in SAP modules for additional module specialization
Cross-module development
Staying up-to-date with emerging SAP technologies and driving their adoption within the organization (e.g., CDS, Fiori)
Your profile
min 5-8 years of experience in the area of ABAP transactions (with a strong focus on SAP NetWeaver ABAP/ABAP OO and SAP HANA)
University degree in Computer Science is an advantage
English at the fluent level of command is a must have
Agile mindset
Knowledge in interface development within the SAP environment and to external systems (RFC, BAPI, IDoc, ALE, Webservices, OData)
Hands on experience in release change and upgrade projects for SAP systems; form development with Smart Forms and Adobe and establishing internal quality assurance, development, and documentation standards
Process knowledge in SAP SD/LE/ MM modules
Experience in cross-module development
Experience in upgrading of new technologies (e.g., CDS, Fiori)
Willingness to participate in international/national SAP rollout projects
Conceptional work and effort estimations together with module consultants
Team player with target-oriented mindset and high sense of responsibility
Willingness to innovate
Openness to adapt for changing environment
German basic (nice to have)
Willingness to travel (supporting golive of international rollouts, visiting Headquarter/Stuttgart-Germany) if required
