Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany.

Hauptaufgaben

Prepares and makes a variety of signs such as exterior signs, traffic signs, identification signs, military headquarters identification signs, facility identification signs, community identification signs, motivational signs, informational signs, interior signs and guide signs. Develops details of final signs by the use of special computer programs like CorelDraw, Power Point and Letter Plot based on rough sketches provided by the requestor or the supervisor. Prepares different surfaces to foil pasting. Processes miscellaneous adhesive foils. Prepares surfaces like wood, metal, canvas, paper, walls and glass, mixes paints, and applies prime, intermediate and finish coats with spray gun, brush and roll. Uses gloss, semi-gloss and special paints, enamel, varnishes, stains, lacquers. Determines size and letters, suitable color and style of lettering. Makes reflective signs, painting background, cutting letters or painting around the letters. Occasionally paints signs on buildings, curbs, pavements and large signs requiring the use of step and extension Ladders. Executes decorative painting in accordance with given designs. Is required to advice requestors of decorative painting jobs when desired effect of final job cannot be achieved without change in design. Prepares surfaces by washing and plastering. Paints interior and exterior walls of buildings, doors and woodwork. Mixes and applies paint, enamel, lacquer, and similar materials. Applies special finishes by paint roller rag, and by other methods. Assures the protection of surrounding areas and if required by specific work assignments, assures proper adjustment of ladders, and scaffolding. Assures proper care and maintenance of brushes, tools and equipment, spray gun, etc.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifikationsanforderungen

A4-4104-5:

Completed vocational training of at least 30 months in the appropriate trade./
Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung in der entsprechenden Gewerbegruppe mit einer Ausbildungsdauer von mindestens 30 Monaten.

OR/ODER

5 years of specialized experience./
5 Jahre einschlaegige Berufserfahrung.


A4-4104-6:

Completed vocational training in the appropriate trade PLUS 2 years experience at a level of difficulty comparable to the Wage Group 5 or equivalent. The applicant must be able to perform the duties independently./
Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung in der entsprechenden Gewerbegruppe mit einer Ausbildungsdauer von mindestens 30 Monaten, PLUS 2 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Lohngruppe 5 oder in, vom Schwierigkeitsgrad vergleichbaren Taetigkeiten, welche selbstaendig ausgeuebt wurden.

OR/ODER

8 years of specialized experience of which 3 years must have been performed at the wage group 5 or equivalent level./
8 Jahre einschlaegige Berufserfahrung von denen mindestens 3 Jahre in der Lohngruppe 5 oder vergleichbaren Taetigkeiten ausgeuebt wurden.



• Bewerber müssen den Führerschein Klasse B besitzen. / Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B.
