The Company's North American operations are located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Plymouth, Indiana, where we produce fruit and dairy preparations for a variety of customers including yogurt, ice cream and bakery manufacturers.

Participates in Cost Engineering activities: Utilizes established mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyze data. Writes technical reports detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations.

• Primary Responsibilities:
  • Cook lab samples that are representative of production with all formulas entered into Qualifax. This includes setting up in yogurt or other finished products for evaluation of texture, viscosity, color and flavor related to all raw materials.
  • Responsible for following trials. This includes checking samples and reviewing paperwork with the scientists to ensure that the trials are properly run. Collaborate with other technical functions, including US. Regulatory Affairs and Quality, to ensure all aspects of use are tested and reviewed.
  • Communicates with other team members on daily project work. Responsible for ordering all necessary ingredients. Capable of re-sampling customers and making minor adjustments to the formula based on the project entered into the IT system. Responsible for preparing labels and packing slips for shipping to other Locations.
  • Maintains a clean and professional laboratory setting. Calibrates and maintains analytical equipment on a daily basis.

• Minimum requirement is a high school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree in Culinary or Science is a plus.
• A 4-year science degree has potential for promotion to Food Technologist.

• 1 -2 years’ experience in a restaurant, retail food preparation or commercial kitchen setting.
• Experience in a food laboratory or food manufacturing plant is desired.

• Special Skills and Abilities Required:

• Must have basic computer knowledge including Office365 applications such as Word and Excel.
