We are seeking a Knowledge Center Senior Accounting Specialist to join our team in Warsaw. Your Role
Kuehne+Nagel's Knowledge Center for General Ledger and Reporting is based in Warsaw and is responsible for all European countries. You will be a part of Knowledge Center for General Ledger and Reporting and provide financial services to all European countries. You will be involved in the migration process of the financial processes from the european entities to this Knowledge Center. The proper process documentation including SOPs Standard Operating Procedures and Process Flowcharts will be required. As the next step the improvement ideas are expected in order to smooth down the processes and simplify the processflow.
Your Responsibilities
Ensure a reliable and timely Record-To-Report (R-to-R) process, adhering to Group standards and local legal requirements.
Provide constructive input on R-to-R processes and suggest continuous improvements.
Control all accounting transactions, including journal entries, accruals, and General Ledger reconciliations.
Oversee financial administration, including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Provisions, VAT/Taxes, and periodical closing.
Process incoming invoices, collaborating with departments to resolve discrepancies and improve the P2P process.
Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
Serve as a mentor for junior accountants, supporting onboarding and knowledge sharing.
Cooperate closely with external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate data provision.
Your Skills and Experiences
University / Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience in an international environment in a similar role is welcomed.
Knowledge and experience in accounting process migration, including preparation of documentation, is an advantage.
Understanding of IFRS accounting and reporting, with a willingness to develop further in this area.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in English and Polish (both written and spoken).
Practical knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
