Your Role

As an Customs Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring customs compliance and customs process optimization throughout the entire organization and setting out, implementing and monitoring the national customs policy for national Contract Logistics customs team.

Your Responsibilities

• Performing internal controls and audits on customs dossiers and processes
• Creating customer-specific declaration reports and monitoring customs compliance
• Providing technical support in cooperation with IT, ensuring that K+N IT systems are compliant with national system requirements
• Setting out and implementing the customs policy
• Ensuring customs compliance and customs process optimalization
• Maintaining customs license management and controlling the AEO Framework
• Advisory function in various customs areas: maintaining and sharing latest customs developments, providing courses and trainings
• Provide support to the operational customs Contract Logistics department on the above topics and operational stand-by in case of escalation and peaks in operational work

Your Skills and Experiences

• Vakopleiding declarant (Licensed customs broker course)
• HBO working level
• Previous experience in Logistics in at least one of the following areas: customer service, customs, IT helpdesk.
• Language skills: English and Dutch.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Excel).
• Ability to fulfil critical tasks on time, keep schedules and deadlines.
• Result-oriented and technical learning ability.
• Problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Good communications skills.
