Hauptaufgaben

Stock Level Maintenance. Conducts preliminary investigation for items of an urgent demand or critical nature and takes appropriate action to reflect findings on stock records. Researches actions emanating from the data processing system. Reviews records for possible substitution, replacement of item, utilization of special stocks, etc., and makes recommendations to stock manager accordingly. Reviews issue, receipt/turn-in and disposal documents from issue points and examines for compliance with governing regulations and consolidates data. Reviews authorization documents for item authorization; if necessary, requests approval and prepares justifications. Reviews past demand data to make preliminary determinations on replenishment of stocks. Conducts evaluation of data relative to stock leveling. Reviews records to determine current status of items. Initiates disposal actions and stock level changes of slow-moving or dormant items. Inventory Adjustment. Prepares inventory adjustments for discrepancies disclosed by physical inventories, warehouse refusals, transfer of material between accounts, assembly or disassembly of kits and sets, and assemblies, etc. Receives applicable documentation and secures the necessary detailed data of the material in question by checking automated data or by searching through manual records. Evaluates the activity (receipts, issues, etc.) of an item by searching summaries, activity register and other reference sources. Prepares inventory adjustments when the cause of the discrepancy is determined. Collects data from the preparation of Reports of Survey. Answers to and prepares correspondence and maintains and prepares records, reports, and files relative to work being performed. Receipt Control. Performs duties concerned with the receipt and storage of a wide variety of supplies, equipment, and specialized items requiring special handling. Processes receipt transactions for material being received by the Central Issue Facility (CIF). Ensures that items received are properly stored in assigned locations. Periodically checks bays and bins for mixed stock or incorrect locations and corrects deficiencies. Reviews packing lists, receiving documents, inspection reports and other action for material receipts against OCIE orders to verify accuracy of stock identification, quantity costs and other pertinent data. Prepares material receipt documents involving discrepancies such as overages exceeding orders, shortages, quantities, substitutes, non-specification items, and similar actions. Examines OCIE order files, authorizations and changes, inspection reports, pricing guides and other activity files to obtain data relative to discrepancies. Forwards copies of receiving transactions to appropriate activities to complete filing and accounting actions. Editing. Reviews a variety of cards and listings of stock demands and determines action required for proper processing. Enters various types of exception data on input documentation; annotates pertinent information on cards and initiates action to have the information input into the automated system. Serves as a control point for merging of documentation and submission of document. Assures timely and complete processing, control and follow-up on documentation. Determines cause of delays, if any, and rectifies within the processing time standards. Performs research on erroneous transactions and takes independent action to correct errors detected. Performs general office administrative functions for the Central Issue Facility. Maintains office files using Army Records Information Management Systems (ARIMS). Gathers and compiles data to prepare required reports. Analyzes reports and makes recommendations to the CIF Manager/PBO. Office Automation. Uses word processing software to input/edit correspondence; reports which include a wide variety of technical terminology formats/prints (through use of automation printing equipment) to final form in accordance with regulatory requirements. Types such documents not formatted to automation or database. Uses reference sources such as technical dictionaries, correspondence regulations and manual/automated spell checks to assure proper arrangements, grammatical and spelling accuracy of the final copy.
When licensed may operate electric, gasoline, or diesel powered fork lift trucks capable of lifting loads up to 10,000 pounds to move, stack, unstack and load, and unload material in and about warehouses, storage areas and on and off vehicles. When licensed may operate motor vehicles up to 5 tons to transport supplies and equipment throughout the Garrison area of responsibility, locally and Germany-wide as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

C-4a:
E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below.

Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.

E&T Level II: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in A below.

E&T Level III and above: No additional experience required.

Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.


* Office automation skills required.
* Applicant must be in the possession of a valid driver's license class B and must be able to obtain/maintain a military motor vehicle operator's license.


LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
English Language Proficiency Level B2 AND German Language Proficiency Level B1 required.

* Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) required, 5 %.
