We are looking for a Senior Product Manager (m/f/d), based in Munich.

The Impact You Will Have

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and supporting the building of desirable, feasible, and sustainable products that meet customer needs over the product-market lifecycle. You will deliver customer needs and develop the program vision and roadmap. You will define the goals for the delivery team. You will be empowered to clarify requirements or change direction mid-flow in order to achieve the desired results and representing the business owners; faciliting decision making and sign-off of proposed requirements and solutions.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Lead Product management for projects/initiatives in the area of Underwriting Transformation.

• Own and actively manage program backlog prioritized by the business owner.

• Support and facilitate delivery of IT Products in close collaboration with Allianz Technology or external vendor.

• Lead the team of product owners and provide a direction as designed and agreed in the roadmap.

• Collaborate with global teams of stakeholders to be able to identify user needs based on business process handling and to ensure alignment between processes and tools with underwriting strategy.

• Actively engage global end users and other key stakeholders from all organizational entities (OE) and all lines of business, soliciting and sharing feedback in order to jointly derive best system and process improvements and achieve the maximum practicable efficiencies.

• Agile way of working: Help to lead the lean-agile transformation, including being a role model, coaching leaders, teams, and product owners in the processes and mindset.

• Create benefit hypothesis, guide business analysts and developers to achieve prioritized functional goals, regularly reviewe progress, and accept work done to deliver company vision.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Degree preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology, Engineering, or any comparable discipline.

• Ideally an Agile Safe (Product Manager) certification.

• In-depth understanding of insurance industry as well as agile way of working specifics.

• Experience in working in transformation projects and leading diverse teams in global and complex project environments.

• Strong stakeholder management skills.

• Strong experience in development/enhancement and implementation of data models/analysis and processes.

• Strong experience in analytical, numerical, and adaptive problem-solving tasks, using logical and methodological approach.

• Experience of working internationally with ability for cross border adaption.

• Expertise in integrating AI into various business functions, enhancing efficiency, and fostering a culture of data-driven innovation.

• Very good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Fluent English skills.
