We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented FP&A Manager (Financial Planning & Analysis) to support our U.S. Business Unit. In this high-impact role, you’ll lead core financial planning functions—from reporting and forecasting to delivering insights that shape key decisions while collaborating with local and global teams. This position does not have direct reports.

Experience in the Insurance or financial services industry is strongly preferred.

This is a high-visibility role that spans the full Profit and Loss (P&L), offering the opportunity to shape financial planning processes and directly impact the future of a growing insurance business—while helping to build a stronger, smarter FP&A function.

Location: Richmond, VA | Hybrid | 2 days in-office per week.

What you will do:

• Lead monthly financial reporting and provide executive-level variance analysis.
• Build and manage budgets and forecasts tied to insurance performance metrics.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, actuarial, and operations teams.
• Support strategic planning and performance tracking with global FP&A teams.
• Provide insights through modeling, scenario planning, and executive presentations.
• Drive process automation and improvements using tools like Power BI and Tableau.
• Deliver clear, actionable commentary on business performance to leadership.
• Contribute to capital planning and statutory reporting.
• Lead or support ad-hoc financial analyses and strategic projects.
• Mentor junior team members and promote financial accountability.

What you will bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 5+ years progressive FP&A experience, ideally in insurance or financial services
• Strong grasp of financial statements, budgeting, and corporate finance
• Detail-oriented with advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
• Skilled in presenting insights to senior stakeholders

• Proficient in financial tools (e.g., Anaplan, Hyperion) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Experienced with data visualization tools and techniques to effectively communicate financial insights (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Working across diverse teams and priorities

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree (MBA or Finance), CPA, or CFA.
• Global/matrixed organization experience.
• Familiarity with insurance metrics and regulatory reporting.
