As a Senior Project Manager, this role brings a focus to finance processes and seeks to identify and implement improvements that support our automation, efficiency and optimisation objectives under Finance Transformation strategy. The priority of this role will be to drive process review projects within Finance Factory and Accounting teams to implement process improvements. The MEA region teams will be the first priority for this role.
Process Optimisation:
Lead a process optimisation program in the nominated finance teams
Engage with the finance leaders to identify the opportunity areas and develop a schedule of processes for review
Conduct finance process reviews with the team members, documenting the activities as part of the process; and developing an inventory of finance processes
Through these review exercises, identify the opportunities for: standardisation, system functionality, internal automation (macros, robotics), and opportunities to stop/reduce/remove certain activities.
Develop a pipeline of improvement initiatives, work with the managers and team members to determine the potential benefits and savings, and align on prioritisation
Implement the prioritised initiatives with support from the Intelligence Centre team and IT teams where applicable
Develop a mechanism for monitoring progress, monitoring savings, and reporting regularly on these initiatives
Support senior management in rolling out process optimisation initiatives across other areas within the Finance Factory – other Teams or other Lines of Business
Leadership & People management:
Take the lead on developing and implementing process optimisation methodologies and tools within the Finance Solutions team and the Finance Factory department
Establish and document ways of working – for example how to conduct process reviews; how to document the process flow; how to measure potential benefits
Onboard other team members to the process optimisation team. Take responsibility for recruitment, onboarding and training, assigning work, supporting and reviewing
Support people and team engagement initiatives within the team and within the Finance Solutions team as a whole
Participate in other finance projects and team activities as required
Support across the Finance Solutions - Health team, if required, with the onboarding of new arrangements (frontings, partnership, TPA etc) or new large clients. Support with new process development, bringing knowledge of process improvements that have been introduced
Provide insights to new system functionalities as needed in the requirements gathering phases
Support other ad-hoc projects where necessary
Actively participate in team communications and engagement initiatives
What you bring
A project specialist, working in a finance environment, 3-5 years’ experience in Process Improvement, Process Automation, or Finance Transformation
Demonstrable experience in implementing process improvements – with evidence of benefits realisation
Demonstrable experience managing own projects – documenting project scope and requirements; project planning; and regular project reporting to different management levels
Experience working on complex topics, solutioning and carrying implementation through to completion
Experience managing others, performance management as well as work assignment and review
Educated to Degree Level; Finance/Accountancy or Business related
Professional Project management qualification a distinct advantage
Highly organized and structured; detail oriented with high accuracy
Demonstrable knowledge of the following tools & languages: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Visio
Excellent collaboration & communication skills
