PURPOSE OF THE INTERNSHIP

Rituals is growing fast. We are steadily expanding in new territories, opening new stores and growing our online presence. Globally we’re opening over 100 new stores per year (EU, Middle East and Asia). As part of this growth an intern position has come vacant within the Global tax department. As an intern within Rituals’ tax department, you will get the best of both worlds. Your journey will bring you a sneak peak of the activities you will perform as an inhouse tax advisor whilst giving you the ability to further develop your skills, increase your knowledge and bringing the theory into practice.

Good to know: The Global tax function (3 FTE) for Rituals is located at our Amsterdam HQ, therefore we're responsible for the tax advisory and compliance in all countries where Rituals is active in. The tax department is part of the finance department with several several sub teams, e.g., financial control, tax, internal control, finance operations and payroll. You will spend (most of) your time at our Amsterdam Central Head Office with a view on one of the most iconic Amsterdam canals.

YOUR ROLE

With your latest knowledge gained during your study, you can help us improve processes and quality. While doing so, you will be interacting with your team members and be communicating with other colleagues in the local business and within the finance team. Also, you will be assisting the tax team to structure, implement and improve tax related processes within the company.

YOUR INGREDIENTS

• Following a Bachelor or Master degree in Dutch Tax law or economics (required);
• Grounded, approachable personality, critical yet constructive and positive approach;
• You are a self-starter;
• Strong analytical skills, Structured and have an eye for detail;
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English (Dutch is a pre);
• You are available for at least 4 days a week and for at least 5 months, starting September 2025.

YOUR ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Working with experienced tax professionals in projects to perform tax analysis on several tax domains (corporate income tax, value added tax, wage tax and withholding tax);
• Assist in the preparation for the tax accounting process at Year End;
• Assist in preparing CbC reporting and Transfer Pricing documentation;
• Assist in documenting processes and ways of working within the tax domain.
