For our Allianz Global Investors GmbH Luxembourg Branch, we are looking for a dynamic and motivated student to be an Intern within our team. The internship will be part-time (20 hours per week) for a duration of 12 months, starting August/September.

Within AllianzGI there is the BAU Change team which coordinates life-cycle events such as fund launches, mergers, liquidations, FX setups and custody account openings within the AllianzGI Operations function to ensure operational readiness for such events from the operations perspective.

In the course of your internship, you will join the team dealing with retail and institutional fund events for our European fund range. Currently, the team is transforming its processes into a fully digital workflow via MS PowerApps. Your main role will be to support the custody market account opening, maintenance and the ongoing digitalization via MS PowerApps.

You will furthermore have the chance to participate in various meetings and gain exciting insights into the field of the mutual and alternative fund industry.

What you will do

You will provide assistance in particular on the following tasks:

• Opening new market accounts around the world for our funds and portfolio managers across Europe
• Registering and renewing registrations of funds in different markets
• Maintaining up to date KYC data in different markets
• Working on enhancements of interfaces, processes and new activities with focus on custody areas
• Implementation and documenting with third parties’ new operational facilities and infrastructure specifically in the Indian market
• Refining existing or establishing new workflows in the context of our MS PowerApps
• Enhancing the reporting for FX Transaction cost analysis via PowerBI

What you bring

• You are enrolled in an accredited college or university studying toward a Bachelor‘s or Master‘s degree in Economics or related fields
• You are highly interested in the fund industry
• An enthusiastic and inspiring personality to work well in an international, diverse and highly interdisciplinary environment
• You are proficient in MS-Office (Word, Excel as well as PowerPoint) and have a strong interest in process automation and the implementation of digital solutions (databases, workflow tools, PowerBI etc.)
• Knowledge of MS PowerApps clearly a benefit
• You have gathered first professional experiences in the context of internships
• You are fluent in English both written and spoken, knowledge of German and/or French would be an advantage
• You have strong analytical skills, a high level of accuracy and keen attention to detail
• You are an excellent team player with good communication skills and a self-reliant working style
