As Financial Controller for Northern Europe, you will primarily focus on our Benelux entities. You’ll become a key player in a compact, collaborative team of five, reporting directly to the Head of Financial Control Northern Europe. The Northern Europe region covers Benelux, the UK, Ireland, and the Nordics—giving your role both scale and impact.

Your key responsibilities:

In this role, you'll oversee the financial month-end close process for the Benelux region. While our accounting assistants handle most journal entries, you’ll take ownership of the more complex financial analyses and collaborate closely with the business controllers.

Your work will also include:

• Preparing statutory financial statements (both local and group level)
• Supporting external audits and ensuring tax compliance (CIT & VAT)
• Monitoring P&L and balance sheets through detailed analytical reviews
• Investigating variances and providing input for monthly and quarterly reports
• Leading and contributing to financial process improvement initiatives—often in collaboration with other departments

Your insights and accuracy will directly influence strategic decisions and performance reviews at both local and regional levels.

You also bring:

• At least 3 years’ experience as a Financial Controller or Auditor
• A degree (HBO/WO) in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in both Dutch and English, written and spoken
• A grounded, approachable, and professional attitude
