Machine Operator - Plate Saw 2nd shift (South Bend, IN)

💰 Competitive Pay $19-$20/hr + Monthly Bonus Opportunity | 🌙 $.50 Shift Premium for Afternoon Hours 1pm-9:30pm Monday-Friday | 📍 South Bend, IN

What You’ll Do:

🔹 Operate Plate Saw Machines to cut metal to length

🔹 Operate cranes, forklifts and other material handling equipment.

🔹 Pull, inspect and verify product before processing🔹 Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and scales for accurate inspections🔹 Troubleshoot malfunctions and adjust machine settings as needed

🔹 Assist in the packaging of material per written work instructions and work order🔹 Work from blueprints, machine instructions, and specifications🔹 Meet production goals for quality, cycle time, and output🔹 Provide support and mentorship to junior team members as needed

What We’re Looking For:

✔️ High school diploma/GED required✔️ 1-2 years of machining experience (Saw Machine experience a plus!)

✔️ Previous forklift experience✔️ Ability to read blueprints and machine instructions✔️ Basic math skills and ability to lift up to 40 lbs✔️ Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
