Job Purpose / Role

• Responsible for providing loss control expertise, support and assistance to AGCS and its customers, to assist Allianz underwriting in risk selection and retention.
• Provide ongoing co-ordination and monitoring of the loss control activity / servicing of assigned accounts & loss control survey work to assist with servicing of assigned accounts.
• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with Underwriting, Distribution, Communications, Claims, clients and brokers.
• Maintain and enhance technical skills and expertise in relevant fields to support the business.

Key responsibilities

• Complete desk top reviews and risk assessments (pre & post loss) and summarize exposures and controls for underwriting evaluation.
• Work with underwriting, claims, clients and brokers where appropriate, to develop customized loss control programs within an agreed budget.
• Survey client operations to obtain appropriate data, identify hazards, discuss findings with appropriate parties. Generate loss control reports, recommendations etc.
• Appoint / monitor 3rd parties ensuring adequate contract / controls in place with budgets agreed up front. Check and ensure quality of work provided by 3rd parties.
• Support technical training presentations for internal and external clients as required / appropriate.

Key Experience / Requirements / Skills

Required Education/ Experience

• Degree in Engineering (e.g. structural, mechanical, electrical, chemical, fire) or equivalent in other area will be considered in conjunction with extensive technical experience.
• Relevant experience in Manufacturing, EHS, Maintenance, Supply Chain and/or Business Continuity Management in multinational companies. (Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field.)
• Loss prevention engineering experience and/or project management skills would be a plus.

• Fluent in English and Japanese
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Presentation skills in a various internal and external settings
• Organisational and interpersonal skills
• Business knowledge and professional disposition
