Your responsibilities

• Stay updated on recent developments in UK environmental legislation and assist in summarising andcommunicating these changes to stakeholders.
• Contribute to our waste accounting process and energy saving actions to support our commitment toreducing our carbon footprint.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with various requirements related to our environmental permits.
• Participate in identifying lessons from environmental incidents and assist in conducting internalenvironmental audits.
• Support the environmental management system to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement,enhancing our overall environmental performance.
• Support new low carbon projects in their efforts to obtain environmental permits, playing a crucial role inexpanding our sustainable energy initiatives.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of environmental sustainability reports, helping to showcase ourcommitment to sustainable practices.

Your profile

• This placement would suit students who are currently studying a physical or environmental science degreequalification.
• A strong desire to gain exposure to environmental legislation and standards relevant to industry andpermitted sites.
• Good interpersonal skills with an eagerness to learn and adapt to working across various functions.
• Basic knowledge of environmental management systems and audit management.

This placement will be for between 48-52 weeks and will begin in Summer 2024
